  • Mason Richards: Bedroom folk with soft vocals yet haunting aura.   Instagram

  6. Maldita Gente: The “Rolling” in Roll the Dice feels like you’re spiraling, but sometimes it feels really good to go insane. Instagram
  1. Final Stance: Just something about that guitar man. Fuck ( this is one of my favorite bands in the scene). Instagram
  1. See It Through: “Its like The Clash and PUP had a baby” – the mysterious man in my room as I played this song out loud. Instagram

Chill Show

Rae.L

  • When: Saturday, April 12th at 9:00 PM
  • Where: Owl’s Club
  • Genre: Hyperpop
  • Price: Free
  • Why Go? First off, this venue is the coolest bar I’ve been to. An old funeral home has that western gothic flair that balances elegance and casual so fucking well. Rae.L’s sound is one that is uniquely hers and brings a hyperpop electronic cleanse to the music scene. If you’re looking for a pop girly to support, she is one of my favorites to bring up.  Instagram

Elephant in the Venue:

Local Love’s April Mayhem Fest

  • When: Saturday, April 12th at 7:00 PM
  • Where: Rialto
  • Genre: Rock
  • Price: $6 adv/$10 door (Ticket Link)
  • Why go? This is the Golden Corral of rock shows this weekend. You get to see seven rock bands, all with their little different styles, right on one of the most prestigious stages in Tucson.
  • Here’s the Lineup
    • Fortune Faded: A perfect take on 90’s grunge. Vocals that are haunting mixed with melodies that make you feel like a divorced dad. Instagram
  • AZ the World Burnz: Rock that mixes rap, country, 808’s, and metal that leads to a vibe reminiscent of Linkin Park. Instagram
  • The Wind Below: Chill, heavy and siren-like singing that makes the “ethereal grunge” in their bio an accurate description. Instagram
  • Wrought Iron: Makes you feel like an outlaw in a western movie, with a slight little blues kick to it. Facebook
  • Rat Trap 520: NuMetalcore – Emo rap that mixes trap beats with metal drums throughout the song. Instagram
  • Curfew: A powerful voice and striking chords that bring back the energy of 80’s glam rock. Instagram

You also have 6 other shows you can go to this weekend. All shows are listed here.

Next week will be a different list, but you can actually sign up for this newsletter to get it

Where’s Kat Going: Hear me out – I’m going to be the worst character possible, for like two seasons or so. And then, my brother will fight with me and have me go to the place he worked at that basically killed his spirit and gave him ulcers. I will have to clean spoons for a few days only but then I am walking the floor. While I am working the floor I learned that these waiters do what they do because they make people’s night every single day. I am washed over with purpose once again, singing Taylor Swift in the car ride home and dedicating time to learning more about this restaurant. I would like to stay, but I must go back to my brother and his sous chef/ business partner who is holding this entire family together.
